The attached document represents the latest work product of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School Agreement Amendment Taskforce. Please read, become familiar with the proposal, ask questions and become involved. The outcome of the negotiations may have a significant impact on the taxes we pay.

The Rehoboth Board of Selectmen provided a written response to the Taskforce and addressed concerns at a meeting of the full School Committee several months ago. To date, none of the recommended changes have been addressed in the document. We have now been invited to participate in a small group discussion on January 29, 2019 to determine if a fair and equitable resolution can be negotiated.

We have attached two copies of the proposed amended Agreement. The first is the document offered by the School Committee for review by the Town. The second document contains the changes (which are highlighted in yellow) the Rehoboth workgroup believes must be addressed in order to produce a fair and balanced Agreement.

At a special meeting of the Rehoboth Board of Selectmen on Thursday, January 17 the Selectmen once again discussed the most troubling areas of the proposed document and the impact these areas would have on Rehoboth taxpayers if left unchanged.
