Important COVID-19 - Early Voting & Polling Location Changes for April 6, 2021 Annual Town Election

On Saturday, March 20th every household should have received the attached informational mailer regarding Rehoboth's Upcoming Annual Town Election.  Below please find a copy of the mailer along with an application for an absentee ballot and important information regarding the upcoming election.  Thank you for voting!

Absentee Ballot Information

Due to a recent vote of the legislature, all registered voters qualified to vote in the April 6, 2021 Annual Town Election, who are unable to make it to the polls on Election Day due to concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic,  may vote by mail by completing and submitting an Absentee Ballot application.  Inside the front and back covers of the mailer, and below as an attachment, you will find an Absentee Ballot Application.  Please complete, sign with a handwritten, not typed signature and either scan and e-mail to us at TownClerk@RehobothMA.gov, drop off in the drop box outside of Town Hall, 148 Peck Street, or mail to the Town Clerk’s Office, 148 Peck Street.  VERY IMPORTANT - APPLY EARLY - to allow ample time for processing your application and for the postal services to deliver your ballot to you.  Best way to return your ballot is to place it in the Ballot Drop Box outside of Town Offices (148 Peck Street).  Please do not hesitate to contact the Clerk's Office should you have any questions or concerns.  Inquiries should be sent via e-mail to TownClerk@RehobothMA.gov  or call 508-252-6502.

Absentee Ballot Deadlines

  • Mail-In Absentee Ballot Application due to our office by Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 5:00 PM
  • In-Person Absentee Application at Town Hall-(Appointment Only) Deadline is Monday, April 5, 2021 at 12:00 PM-Noon
  • Deadline for Absentee Ballots to be returned and counted for the April 6, 2021 Annual Town Election is received at Town Hall Ballot Drop Box no later than 8:00 PM on April 6, 2021

Location:   Town Offices– 148 Peck Street – Selectmen’s Meeting Room* – Enter from rear of building ONLY, the handicapped entrance, not the front door – Thank you.  Please Note: In order to adhere to the Social Distancing Orders signed by the Governor, voters will only be granted access to the Town Hall/polling location when the six-foot social distancing protocols can be met.  Voting Hours Below:

April 6, 2021 - Polling Location Change

Vote “In-Person” on Election Day – The Board of Selectmen voted that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, State of Emergency and Social Distancing Protocols, the April 6, 2021 Annual Town Election will be held at the Dorothy L. Beckwith Middle School Gymnasium – 330R Winthrop Street (Route 44) behind Palmer River Elementary School.  Polls are open from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM.  Thank you for voting.
