West Nile Virus Positive (WNV) Mosquito Samples Found in the Town of Rehoboth

Rehoboth’s risk level for West Nile Virus (WNV) has been elevated to moderate. Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) Risk Level remains remote at this time. Heavy precipitation events have increased the main WNV vector species abundance statewide. WNV vector species are expected to continue to trend up in the coming weeks. Recommended public health measures include using an EPA-registered active ingredient mosquito repellant, and observing peak mosquito activity at dusk and dawn. MA Department of Public Health will continue surveillance activities in this region and advise if risk levels. Please see this link for updates from DPH:
