7th Case of West Nile Virus (WNV) has been Identified in an Individual Aged 30-39 from Bristol County

Mosquito-CDC

The populations of mosquito vectors that transmit WNV and EEE are elevated due to intense regional precipitation events and average temperatures. Avoid mosquito bites by using EPA approved repellents, appropriate clothing and avoiding peak mosquito activity between dusk and dawn. Remove standing water by emptying containers and tarps. The risk level for the Town of Rehoboth for West Nile Virus (WNV) is MODERATE and the risk for Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) remains low at this time.  Risk level updates are posted here: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/massachusetts-arbovirus-update#arbovirus-results-summary-
